Yes, I have a kid now, and these are the shows that are always on rotation on the tube—24/7!
Which is why I have a lot of kiddie shows in my theme songs-to-blog list, and this is definitely on top. Why? Because aside from being one of the catchiest, it is one that is very well thought of.
Unfortunately, the scope of this post does not go beyond who the actual performers were, just the composers and some trivia. Of course, there are parts in the song that are obviously Vicky, the fairies, and Timmy, but the male and female voices behind the verses, we are not sure. Some argue that they are most definitely cast members—makes sense, but then again, no proof.
This may not be my personal blog, but I am still very happy to announce that I am now a very proud father.
So, I maybe hearing more of the likes of these songs.
The opening/intro/main theme song for Wonder Pets is officially entitled “The Wonder Pets!” The voices stay the same so you could say the likes of Sofie Zamchick, voice for Linny, and Teala Dunn, voice for Tuck, performed it. By the way, we are sticking to the original U.S. version for this post. As for composers, it’s hard to say, but IMDb credits J. Walter Hawkes, Martin Erskine, and Larry Hochman for the most episodes.
While below is a poor-quality version of the sequence. (Sorry, can’t find anything better than this.)
Well, there’s nothing much left to say here so I’ll leave you with the complete lyrics.
Wonder Pets theme song lyrics

To help a friend
And save the day
We’re not too big
And we’re not too tough
But when we work together

Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors was an animated television series produced by DIC Entertainment, and I believe was shown in (in the U.S.) Nickelodeon and the USA Network.
It had one of those opening sequences that started with a narration and transitioned to the opening theme song. Its theme song was composed by now billionaire and media proprietor Haim Saban and Shuki Levy. Both are Israeli-American.
Below is the opening narration which summarizes the premise of the show.
Thundering across the stars to save the universe from the Monster Minds. Jayce searches for his father to unite the Magic Root and lead his Lightning League to victory over the changing form of Saw Boss. Wheeled Warriors explode into battle – Lightning Strikes!
Below are the correct lyrics to the song.
Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors theme song lyrics
There’s a power that comes from deep inside of you
‘Cause every day you’re reaching toward the light
And you know there’s a long long way ahead of you
But when your wheels get you there,
Things will turn out right!
Just keep ’em turning, don’t stop ’em rolling
The fire is on–Wheeled Warriors!
Battle drums burning, wheels moving–Wheeled Warriors
Wheeled Warriors!
Cause we can just keep ’em turning, don’t stop ’em rolling
The fire is on–Wheeled Warriors!
Battle drums burning, wheels moving–Wheeled Warriors
Wheeled Warriors!
Man, I used to have the biggest crush on Melissa Joan Hart back then, and it was all because of this show. I stumbled upon it during the one and only time I went to the U.S. back in 1993. So really, I could never forget this theme song/opening sequence—it’s actually quite a surprise it took me this long to post about it.
Anyway, the theme song is credited to three people: Rachel Sweet—an American singer and actress, Anthony Battaglia, and Willa Bassen. According to Rachel Sweet’s biography, the song was a reworking of the theme song for her own show called The Sweet Life (The Comedy Channel).
Alright, I guess there’s nothing left to say here so lo and behold, below is the theme song from an original opening sequence.
Note: Poor quality. Looks like it was “filmed” while playing on television.
Salute Your Shorts was a Nickelodeon series about summer camp—teenage campers, their strict counselor, and general summer camp life.
It had a unique and memorable theme song, as all the cast members contributed lines to complete the whole song. There is not much information about the song in general, so let’s once again go out on a limb here and trust IMDb. Series original music is credited to one man—Ed Alton.
Salute Your Shorts theme song lyrics
We run, we jump, we swim and play
We row and go on trips
But the thing that lasts forever
Are our dear friendships
Camp Anawanna, we hold you in our hearts
and when we think about you
it makes me want to fart!
It’s I hope we never part
Now get it right or pay the price
Now we will share a lifetime of the fondest memories
by the Lake of Anawanna, set in the old pine trees
Camp Anawanna we hold you in our hearts
and when we think about you, this thing it came apart!
Think Ana-wanna-wanna!
Speak Ana-wanna-wanna!
Live Ana-wanna-wanna! Ugh!
