Yes, well, The Good Wife barely has a theme song, as it only has about ten seconds worth of opening credits backed by a simple synthesizer-based tune. Anyway, I would go out on a limb here and say that that song was created by Danny Lux. IMDb credits all of The Good Wife‘s music to him, and his Wikipedia entry also includes The Good Wife to his contributions.

Since that “theme song” is barely even a song, there probably wouldn’t be an appropriate title to it.

On another note, Julianna Margulies is quite hot.

Ally McBeal Theme Song

I’m just finishing all David E. Kelley shows—and Ally McBeal should have been one of the first posts. The theme song for Ally McBeal is Vonda Shepard’s “Searchin’ My Soul.” It was originally part of the album The Radical Light (1992), but was not released as a commercial single. In the album, the song is credited to Vonda Shepard and Paul Gordon.

“Searchin’ My Soul” was re-released in Songs from Ally McBeal (1998) and The Best of Ally McBeal – The Songs of Vonda Shepard (2009).

Most of the original scores from Ally McBeal is also credited to another familiar name in this blog—Danny Lux.

John Doe Theme Song

You all remember John Doe? It was this one-season television series which starred Dominic Purcell—Lincoln Burrows in Prison Break, about a mysterious man (hence, John Doe) who had no idea of his whereabouts whatsoever, except that he had McGyver-like skills and knowledge, which was deemed useful by the authorities.

Anyway

It had a great intro theme to it, which now after research, revealed itself as another masterpiece by the great Danny Lux—a theme song composing legend (Boston Legal, Boston Public, Ally McBeal, etc.). Some sites claim that is is simply called “John Doe Theme.”

Boston Legal Theme Song

The theme song for Boston Legal was performed by Billy Valentine—this is supported in his site, where he answers FAQs asked by the show’s fans. He also did most of the show’s songs, in collaboration with composer, Danny Lux. The opening theme song is simply referred to as the “Boston Legal Theme Song.”

In the end of the theme song, Billy Valentine says “Outlaw!”

Boston Legal, which stars James Spader, Monica Potter, Rhona Mitra, Lake Bell, Mark Valley & William Shatner, is a spin-off of the series The Practice. It was created by David E. Kelley.
