Pretty Little Liars Theme Song

2010-present

This should roundup ABC Family’s current show lineup. The show is based on the novel series of the same name by Sara Shepard. It looks interesting though, as it stars 4 cuties, but it has not reached our shores.

The theme song is quite catchy while being disturbingly sounding. It is entitled “Secret” by American, New York-based band, The Pierces. The Pierces is sisters Catherine Pierce and Allison Pierce, who both play guitars and sing. “Secret” is originally from their third album—released in 2007 entitled Thirteen Tales of Love and Revenge. Songs from this album, including “Secret” also made it in the show Gossip Girl, where the band also made a cameo appearance.

Below is the theme song and original opening sequence.

Pretty Little Liars theme song lyrics

Got a secret
Can you keep it?
Swear this one you’ll save
Better lock it, in your pocket
Taking this one to the grave
If I show you then I know you
Won’t tell what I said
Cause two can keep a secret
If one of them is dead

The theme song edit is actually just the first verse of the song.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager Theme Song

2008–present; also, “Secret Life Theme Song”

Damn what a long show title. Also, I’m kind of in an ABC Family phase right now, so bear with me.

Secret Life is about teenage pregnancy. It stars the now very-legal Shailene Woodley. Its theme song is called “Let’s Do It, Let’s Fall in Love.” The version used in the show was performed by Molly Ringwald, who also happens to be the mother of Woodley’s character, Amy Juergens.

The song was originally written in 1928 by American composer, Cole Porter. It garnered fame in Porter’s Broadway musical Paris.

“Let’s Do It, Let’s Fall in Love” is also sometimes credited as the following:

  1. “Let’s Do It (Let’s Fall in Love)”
  2. “Let’s Do It”

Below is the first part of the pilot of the show—don’t you just love how ABC Family doesn’t really care about YouTube copyright infringement shit? The theme song/opening credits starts at 1:52.

The Secret Life of the American Teenager theme song lyrics (show edit)

Falling in love
It’s such an easy thing to do
Birds can do it, we can do it
Lets stop talkin’ let’s get to it
Let’s fall in love

Make It or Break It Theme Song

2009-present

Can’t go wrong with a group of hot gymnasts.

Make It or Break It, a television drama series shown on ABC Family, has a theme song entitled “Boom Snap Clap.” It was composed by a certain Michael Baiardi. It’s not really much of a song, let alone a theme song, but I guess it still accounts for something.

Below is part of an episode. The theme song and opening credits starts at 5:04.

Greek Theme Song

2007–present

Greek as in GRΣΣK the television series.

The Greek theme song is not a stereotypical theme in that it is not played in a opening-sequence manner. The song, however, is widely accepted as the show’s real theme as it was played all throughout commercials and trailers for the series’ first season.

The song in question is called “Our Time Now” by the band Plain White T’s. It was originally from their fourth album Every Second Counts; the song is the third single from said album. It was also performed by the band in an episode of Greek.

It is also known that subsequent promos for the show used Plain White T’s music exclusively.

Below is their appearance on the show performing “Our Time Now”.

Melissa & Joey Theme Song

2010

Posting about the theme from Clarissa Explains It All Theme Song, and yapping about how I had the biggest crush on Melissa Joan Hart, made me realize she now has a new show—good for her. The show is entitled (obviously) Melissa & Joey, and Hart stars opposite Joey Lawrence.

I have not seen an episode of the show, nor do I have the slightest idea of its critical reception. But, I have to do what I have to do. I do promise to watch this soon.

The theme song is called “Stuck With Me,” and was performed by, surprise, Joey Lawrence.

Here’s a direct quote of what Mr. Lawrence has to say about the song:

“Yup, it’s called “Stuck with Me.” It reminds of me of the theme of Friends. And I’m making a brand new record that will drop early next year.” [source]

Friends? Yeah, I don’t think so?

Anyway, below is said—very, very short—theme song. Forward on to 2:22. Is this really how short their “sequence” is? Anyway, maybe just enjoy 1 of 2 of the pilot.
